Looking for the perfect watch to handle all your outdoor and athletic needs, the High Gear Axio Max might be the right watch for you. The Axio Max is equipped with an altimeter, electronic compass, elevation alarm, stop watch, thermometer, and more to meet your hiking, running, mountaineering, and backcountry needs. Often times, we have found outdoor technical watches to be fairly complicated to use and if you don’t have a PhD, then you pretty much only use the time function. After a quick browse through the instruction manual, we were able to get the Axio Max up and running with no problem. We’ve used this watch while hiking up to 14,000 ft along with other altimeters and GPS’s to check for accuracy and about 85% of the time, the watch was within a few meters of accuracy. The watch also came in handy on runs as it has a chronograph to keep track of how long you have been out running; it is also nice for keeping track of how long you have been out hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, etc. The backlight makes the watch easy to read during the night, which is also convenient for night running or hiking. Last but not least, we found the High Gear Axio Max to be an attractive watch to wear around town, so if you are looking for a watch that you can wear for both your active and casual life, this is a watch you will want to take a look at.
